WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE TURN ON THE KEY OF VEHICLE ....STEP BY STEP COMPLETE DETAILS........

In case of transportation we all have reached that point where automobiles becomes the backbone of transportation . From home to office , from garden to beach , from town to forest a vehicle is everywhere whether is a passenger vehicle or a heavy vehicle . Its very hard to live a day without automobile . Almost everyone loves to ride one vehicle also. But did we ever thought what happens when we put our key & turn our vehicle on ?How a vehicle of weight maybe of 1ton moves itself from rest to motion.

AUTOMOBILE

An automobile is the gasoline or IC engine powered vehicle which is designed passenger as well as to carry load , and also required a person to control when running.

Motorized vehicle consisting of four wheels and powered by an internal engine. Automobiles are used to transport people and items from one location to another location. Automobiles generally use gasoline to fuel the internal engine, but technological advances have led to the design of cars that run on electricity and even water.


WHAT HAPPEN WHEN WE TURN ON THE KEY

When a driver turns a key in the ignition:

  • The car battery powers up sending
  •  Power to the starter motor, which
  • Turns the crankshaft, which
  • Gets the pistons moving
  • With the pistons moving the engine fires up
         and ticks over.
  • A fan draws air into the engine via an air filter.
  • The air filter removes dirt and grit from the
         air.
  • The cleaned air is drawn into a chamber
        where fuel (petrol or diesel) is added.
  • This fuel-air mix (a vaporized gas) is stored
        in the chamber.

  • The driver presses the accelerator pedal.
  • The throttle valve is opened.
  • The gas-air mix passes through an intake
        manifold and is distributed, through intake
        valves, into the cylinders. The camshaft
        controls the opening and closing of the
        valves.
  • The distributor makes the spark plugs spark,
        which ignites the fuel-air mix. The resulting
        explosion forces a piston to move down
         which in turn causes the crankshaft to
          rotate.
